The Northwestern Oregon based Salem Paranormal Research Investigation Society (SPRIS) was founded in October of 2007, as a non profit organization of paranormal researchers and investigators who's looking to help those that are concerned or curious, about their experiences with paranormal activity. Even though our main goal is to help clients with our services, we seek to gather credible evidence by using reliable scientific methods to contribute to the paranormal field. As a result, the credibility of the group is closely maintained, and members are carefully screened before the ok is given to them. We do not work with psychics, or conduct any investigations using any metaphysical methodology (such as forms of ouija, and or séances etc).

When we do investigations, we take the utmost care of our clients. We help them with all of their needs, and give them the highest amount of respect. We fully understand there is a lot of trust on behalf of our clients, to even allow us to enter their home, or place of work. We use great caution not to disturb anything in your home, or place of work, without the permission of the client(s). We always bring level headed, and polite attitudes with us, to ensure no negative outlooks will occur. Our group uses a variety of equipment to gather evidence of paranormal occurrences, and evidence that we may record will not be shared, or published outside of SPRIS, without the homeowner's or place of business's owner's consent. If we feel a case is especially sensitive, the case will be dealt with by the founding members of SPRIS, with strict procedures, and of course confidentiality.

We take our work very seriously, as it is work dealing with science and research. Once our equipment is set up, we will then try to recreate and find reasons for the paranormal occurrences that client(s) have been experiencing. After our investigations are over, we then thoroughly analyze all the evidence we have recorded. We then schedule a meeting with the client(s) to sit down and review our findings, to help them better understand the paranormal phenomenon that they have been experiencing. The client(s) are welcome to any personal copies of what we may find.

Our services are completely FREE of charge. We may confidently claim to be experienced and educated in the field of paranormal investigations and research, however we cannot with good conscience, call ourselves experts in the paranormal field. We strongly caution our clients and the public, to be very wary of those who do make such claims, especially if there is a fee involved for their services. Even though there are in fact no real experts when it comes to the paranormal, there are many respectable, credible, and competent researchers like ourselves, who are in fact collecting the most authentic evidence possible.

We must caution the client(s) not to use the evidence as absolute proof of paranormal activity, but rather as circumstantial evidence supporting or denying the probability of the paranormal claims of activity that may have taken place.

Sincerely,
Salem Paranormal Research Investigation Society
